Yes, As of January 2019 in accordance with the AS/NZS 3000:2018 30mA (milliamperes) Safety switches are mandatory on all final sub-circuits supply lighting and power outlets protected by ≤ 32A (Previously 20A) – Domestic and Commercial installations.
Yes, Every water heater, air-conditioner and heat pump system shall be provided with an independent isolation switch installed adjacent to but not on the unit (at arms length or 1.25 meters).
